Acting Your Life.

There is a certain way you can act that is powerful. Acting is that which receives. It is a tool of creation, the others being thought and words. Thought, words, and action are the tools that you use to create your world.

Thoughts create on one level, the highest vibratory level.

Words step down that vibration into a realm we can begin to sense.

Actions finally bring the vibration of that which we thought up into a realm we can touch and see. Actions, therefore, are the stage at which we receive our creations.

Let us look at actions for a moment.

Actions are the last stage of creation, and are only effective to the extent that they are in line you’re your thought and word, and your state of being (the source of the tools of creation).

When you act, first know why you are acting. What is it for? What is your goal? By your goal shall your fruits be. Then go ahead and act. In your acting, have no doubt, no regrets, and no hesitation. Act all the way to the end. Then take responsibility for your actions, for responsibility is what puts you in a position of power because by owning your actions and their effects, you are in a position to respond. Responsibility gives you response-ability.

Act with the joy, passion and finality of a person acting as if that was the last action they were performing on earth before they pass on. It may be. Unless it isn’t. How would you perform your next act if you knew it was your last? With careful consideration, with full presence and engagement, relishing it, and not attached to the outcome (since you wont be around to see the outcome). Your main concern would be to really enjoy your last act, enjoy the process and not the end of it. And you would act as if it was your last stand, unwavering. You would fear nothing, for at that point all fear would clearly be False Evidence Appearing Real. Act for the sake of acting. Not for the goal, not for your personal reason or expected result. But simply for spirit. Act for the universal sake of All That Is, What You Are together with all creation. For while you may be the one doing the act, you may not be in a position to know the true purpose of that action. You may have a goal for it, but that is just a motivator.

For example, say that your goal in an action is to make a certain amount of money. This goal came from a thought, did it not? And where did that thought come from? It came either from your ego (in which case it was a fear masquerading as something else such as a desire to get rich so as to have acceptance) or it came from Your Spirit, in which case it has an effect and sequence of events that may be beyond your imagination. If it came from ego, let spirit correct. If it came from Spirit, Spirit knows the big picture and the exact sequence of events that would lead to the best outcome for you (you are Spirit, even though part of you may not be aware of this). So Spirit, Your Higher Self, inspired you by dropping the thought in your mind, along with a goal as a motivator. Just act on the inspiration. It has built in its own intelligence and pathways that you may not know.

So don’t get attached to the outcome – have a goal, but don’t get attached to a particular outcome in the moment of Now. Let What Is be. What Is Right Now is Life, let it Be. Don’t say ‘I am failing now because right now things are not as I expected.’ That is attachment and it can only lead to more negativity. Learn from it, accept it, then choose different for the next moment, but for Now, accept it as it is. What you resist persists.

Do you know how you get into trouble? By labeling something as wrong, bad, shameful, guilty, and so on. The moment you do that, you disown a part of yourself. And sooner or later, you find yourself in a spot in which you are faced with that which you labeled as bad right in the middle of your life! And it sticks around until you accept it, love it. Then it lets go. Understand that no part of creation is bad, and you will be free of judgement and then free of pain.

Before the act, calculate everything, know why you are acting, and for what goal. During the act, just enjoy the process with full presence, infusing your love into it, for the emotion is what gives it power to produce good fruit. After the act, let go. Don’t worry about the result at the present moment. Be detached. Move on to your next act. Things will fall into place, as they should on their own. Your input was required only before and during the act, not after.

Another benefit of detachment is that it leaves you free. When you have nothing fixed as an outcome in the moment of Now, no one can hold you hostage, not even your own mind. You give no power away to external forces, not even to your ever-in-crisis-about-what-next ego. (DJS)

How Does Goal Setting Create Our Destiny?

Today we’re going to look at a few examples of how the goals we set and achieve can create our destiny.

  • Bill Gates had a goal of providing easy-to-use software for personal computers
  • Oprah Winfrey’s goal was to bring quality entertainment projects into production
  • Anthony Robbins’ goals included finding out why we do what we do and to help those in need of food and now feeds over 2,000,000 worldwide through his foundation.
  • Finally, one of my personal favorites, Herb Brooks had a goal of winning a Gold Medal at the Winter Olympics coaching the United States ice hockey team.

All these phenomenal people created their destinies by setting and achieving goals!

Get Control of Your Life by Setting Goals

Not only will a life coach help you set the right goals, but your chances of achieving your goals will increase as well. Setting goals and attaining them is how we create the destiny of our choice. Why? Without goals, we are leaving our destiny to chance – like a leaf falling from a tall tree on a windy day. The wind will take the leaf wherever it blows. The leaf does not its direction and ultimate destination. Does this analogy imply that goals give us control? Absolutely! If our daily goals are to get up, get to work and get through the day so we can make a living, what destiny will this create?

An excellent method to begin taking control of your destiny is to utilize goal setting, and a life coach can help you do that. Here are five easy-to-use, proven tips for achieving your goals and thus taking control of your destiny:

1. Decide what is realistically attainable for you in these areas: health, relationships, finances, career, spirituality, family, personal development and quality of life. Get specific.  Your life coach will help you identify the right goals in each area. Why set goals in all areas of our life? Because we want to have balance. Remember, success in these areas is measured differently for all of us. The point is to know exactly what you want and take action to make it happen.

2. Get leverage on yourself – you must decide that you want to achieve these goals and that you will not settle for anything less. What does leverage do? Leverage means that you have hit a threshold that says, “I want to change this NOW.” When we reach this threshold, we will take action toward our goals. Remember, goals without action are just wishes.

3. Set a deadline for each goal, a date and time if possible. Your life coach knows if you don’t set a date, it’s not a real goal. So, when will the goal be realized? How does this help? Making your goal time specific will help you know if you are on track to achieving your goal. Committing to your deadline will motivate you to take consistent action. In addition, knowing specifically when you want to complete your goal gives your mind clarity about when it has to be realized. This is a power in itself. I love the old saying, “clarity is power.”

4. Next, your life coach will help you create an action plan made up of small steps taken every day. Once again, goals without action are just wishes. If you don’t take action on a goal, is it possible fear is blocking you? Sometimes a goal will look so big our minds convince us the goal is not worth going through the pain of achieving it. One common block to goal reaching is the fear of failing.  Our minds tell us, “I’m going to fail anyway, so why bother trying?” Don’t get caught up in these mind games. Do you think the four people noted at the top of this article didn’t have fear? That’s doubtful.  But it’s obvious they did not let their fears stop them. Why? I believe they had a “whatever it takes” attitude. They didn’t let fear get in their way.

In the action plan stage, your life coach will help you identify the obstacles (physical, financial, and emotional) standing in your way, as well as steps to overcome them.  This will be your road map, getting you to your goal with small, clear, workable steps each day.   How does this help? Writing down your plan for goal attainment increases the chance you will follow through and take the actions written. Why? You know what action you need to take and when to take it. This is the power of clarity I mentioned earlier; Life coaching helps create higher levels of clarity. This clarity is so powerful you will create an unstoppable momentum, driving you to your goal!

5. Notice if the actions you are taking are giving you the results you want. This is how you measure whether or not you are achieving your goal. The life coach will help you identify this. If you are not moving towards achieving your goal, you need to change your actions. Why? If you keep taking the same actions, you will usually create the same results. This cause and effect relationship between your actions and the results must be monitored so you can modify them to produce the results you want. You wouldn’t keep spending money on advertising your product in the newspaper if it yielded you zero sales, right? If you see your method is not working, change it until you find something that does. You can speed up this process by talking to people that have already gotten the results you seek. Ask them how they did it and replicate their efforts!

With these 5 steps, life coaching can help you create the destiny of your choice. Do you want to be like the leaf, or do you want to be the captain of your ship and take it to your chosen destination? The choice is always ours to make. The difference will be evident when comparing our overall level of happiness in the past, present and future years to come. Moving towards a destiny of choice will create a happier, joyful and fulfilled life.

Start today by thinking about the kind of person you are. Are you happy with yourself and what you have achieved? Who are you becoming, and what or who are you dedicating your life to? Let Go of Past Fear #3: Make It a Goal

Letting go of the past requires a lot more action that you might think.  It’s not as simple as thinking to yourself, “I’m letting this go…poof!”  Like all worthy goals, it requires some actual work on your part.  What kind of actions can you take to stop allowing past failures to affect future actions and future success?

  • Make a goal – write it down and date it.  Mine was to no longer allow past failures to negatively impact future decisions.
  • List all the obstacles in the way of achieving that goal.  You may be surprised to find that nearly all of them are internal, and most are based in fear.
  • Identify ways to meet and overcome those obstacles.  Since most of them are inside your head, put something new in there.  Fill up on positive, inspirational, motivational thoughts (I listened to self-esteem self-talk audio) to hack out the roots of your old ways of thinking.
  • Any time a challenge (fear) comes up, recognize it, look at it, and take an action in spite of it.

Remember, just because you failed today, yesterday, or just a moment ago, that doesn’t mean you will never succeed. Change your approach, and try again. I can tell you from experience, it’s better than living in the past and never allowing yourself to be free.

Final Thoughts on Letting Go of the Past

Remember, you get what you focus on.  Focusing negatively on past failures will almost always result in more failure. Use those experiences as lessons to guide you to future success.

Everyone has failed at something. Failing just means you’ve eliminated one possibility – you know that won’t work, so try something else. It took Edison thousands of tries to get the light bulb to work the way he wanted. If he’d remained mired in all those failures, we might be sitting in the dark right now!

Learning to let go of the failures will keep you going!

Ten Tips for Using the Law of Attraction

1.  Your thoughts create your reality. If you think thoughts of lack, self-doubt, poverty, poor health, etc.,  then that is what you will experience.

2.  If you are not sure what your thoughts are, then simply ask yourself  “How do I feel?”  If you feel unsettled, it is your indicator that your thoughts are not aligned with creating an extraordinary life.

3.  If you notice too many negative thoughts and don’t know how to change them, get started by writing down as many things as possible that you are grateful for. Each day reflect on this list with genuine gratitude.

4.  Appreciation is the antidote of fear. Appreciate each and every day, and everyone in it.

5.  Take responsibility for changing your thoughts. I found this very difficult in the beginning, because I was so used to thinking negatively. I was kind of hooked on them, because I got to play the victim! When I chose to take responsibility for my thoughts, no exceptions, they started to change.

6.  Write down your goals very clearly. Use the SMART model if it helps:

                      S – Simple, specific
                     M – Measurable
                     A – Attractive, stated ‘as if’ you already have it
                     R – Realistic
                     T – Timed – when will it be in your life? 

For example, “It is Christmas 2014 and I am standing on the balcony of my beach house with my family.  
I’ve  enjoyed an exciting, fun and rewarding year.  I have banked $__________, invested $__________, and I feel wonderful.”

7.  Think about your goals daily, and with feelings of appreciation for them being in your life – your mind does not know the difference between the reality outside of you and the reality in your mind.

8.  Never, ever, ever give up on your dream. Get more determined each day to experience your goals in your lifetime.

9.  Read everything you can on how others achieved their goals, and if it suits you, do what they did.

10.  Take action!  Nothing can replace action. One step each day towards the achievement of your goals will bring them into your life. Don’t have ‘spurts’ of action then nothing for days or weeks. Do something every day.
